New Year

More of a travel blog post today.  It is lunar New Year and the weather is not as good as it once was.  I shouldn't really complain about 12 degrees and cloudy when the eastern coast of North America is buried in snow but it certainly is not as pleasant as the 25 degrees from last week.  It feels like winter here I guess.  We continue to wait for the country (the whole region actually) to re-open for business to see how our paperwork is progressing.

Cam Tu is much better.  She still awakens every morning with trembling and terror and it takes the better part of several hours for her to tolerate me, or being out of Maelle's arms.  However, she does now play and laugh with us, at times, and will run around the hotel room babbling and giggling.  She engages in parallel play with her brother when he is not annoyed by her.  Videos to come soon.

I still not sure this is not a manifestation of Stockholm syndrome.

We visited arond Hoan Kiem lake both during the day and the early evening of New Year's eve.  Despite Noah's insistence that he would not be asleep, everyone was in bed when the fireworks began to shake our hotel at midnight.

Lots of pictures of Hoan Kiem below.  More pictures to come in the next few days.
